An excellent scene! Readings take place irregularly in the basement of The Foundry, an art and peformance venue where Shoreditch meets Hoxton in splendid industrial chic (with organic Pittsfield beer). At last: a valid innovative poetry event attracting an audience with a median age under 30 – few sad old codgers in macs like myself there (but they didn't throw me out for uncoolness!). Openned Anthology is available as a download, including work from Sean Bonney, Tim Atkins, John Cayley, Dew Milne, Frances Kruk, Emily Critchley and many others (plus a collaborative and fluid Online Issue).
